Inspection Question

Hey guys I recently bought a bike and it needs to be inspected shortly. I'm really concerned about the placement(see pic kinda I need to take a better on still at college) of my liscense plate and the fact that I don't have plate lights. I mean it apparently passed last year so is it hit or miss? And can I go to any place that does cars to do it?

Sorry for this. The search option didn't answer the question directly...
Thanks for your help

You do need a license plate light to pass.

I always take my bikes to the Harley dealerships.

They always pass my bike without a license plate light. Figured its cause a lot of these choppers dont have them anyway.

If not, just go buy license plate light at Autozone for a few bucks and rig it up. Then go home and take it off for next time. I have done this once.

OR go to Cycle Gear or any other bike place and get some license plate bolt LEDs.

I would get a set of lights cuz even if it does pass, you'll still get harassed by the police sometimes. Especially in Sugarland.

I might look into the LED bolts. How are they to wire up?

be careful with those "light boltz". The wires they use are very thin and are sealed with a glue gun. If you pull on the wires too hard it pulls the wires right out. Also don't use them to hold the license plate on, as the nut they supply is plastic and it will NOT hold, eventually it will vibrate loose. Other than that, they're good, I use them on my motard.
