Ya'll watch Nightline last night??? They "covered" the Isle Man TT with a short broadcast...only talking about how dangerous and 3 lives lost already this yr....but how the event goes on regardless of the high emotions.

something like 220 deaths during the TT so far. I wasn't aware of the high death toll. You see that guy tumble down the hill!

of steel are to heavy, I am betting he went with some titanium or some carbon fibre ones.

the island promotes it cause it needs the revenue it brings,
the manufacturers promote it cause win Sunday, sell big time Monday,
the prize money is huge compared to short circuit national racing which entices some,
but most riders would do it for free given the chance to compete in the ultimate challenge despite the dangers.
