I was just looking at it over on advrider. What a disappointment. I guess I'm down to the F800GS or the Tiger 800XC.

I guess I should have clarified, I didn't necessarily mean in the looks department. The new wee definitely looks much better, but a bigger engine or maybe it they made it lean a little more towards the adventure side would have been nice as opposed to some new plastics and smaller fuel tank.

Clearly with the switch to 17 inch front wheel from 19 shows the new model is focused for more on road use.
Also the engine is slightly different as there isn't an air cooled oil cooler up front in the images. The new Vstrom probably got the Gladius water cooled oil cooler.
Also the gearing 1-5 are closer and the 6th is set for better cruising on the highway.
Also it got digital speedometer with gear indicator and ambient temperature.

I was really hoping for a competitor for bikes like the BMW/Tiger/KTM adventure bikes in that middleweight category.
