What warm weather riding gear do you sport??

Just curious what gear everyone wears in this Houston heat?

For now the only piece of gear I have that is really warm weather worthy is a motoboss mesh jacket. I plan to add an agv or bell star helmet to hopefully keep my head a little cooler. The air flow in my exo400 just does not cut it.

if its over 80 i wear a mesh jacket or perforated leather, over 90 i wear the mesh. other than that from about 65 degrees and up i wear all teh same stuff, under 65 i might start adding layers, down to 35 i may have 2 or three layers on.

From 65 - 75 I'll wear my Z1R Dart jacket. From 75 - 85 I wear the same jacket, but the red portion zips off, allowing a lot of air flow. Once it gets 85 and above, that's pretty much the end of the riding season for myself.

One good technique is to soak your under armour type shirt or long sleeves into water and wear that under your mesh jacket. It should feel like 70 degrees when your moving and should last upto 1 hour.

I wear the exact same stuff I wear in the winter no matter how hot it gets. The heat never bothered me. I grew up in desert weather and didnt know what AC was til I was 7. Even then we didnt have AC at home til I was like 14.

While most friends are dropping from the heat, I am just getting started most of the time.

I have a Bell Vortex, the little brother of the Star and it moves a lot of air..I ride in up to 100* and don't have any problems with my head getting too hot.

As for gear, haven't rode in the cold yet but always jeans, armored gloves and boots, always my helmet, and if it's 95 or under I'll wear my jacket, it's vented, armored leather. I suppose I'll use it in the winter as well with the thermal liner in.

non perf'd leather jacket regardless of weather. i can't go back to mesh/textile. boots and leg/shin armor if its a spirited ride. regular cruising consists of leather jacket, gloves, helmet, and tennis shoes/race boots.

How do you like those? I have tried to find them local but can never find my size and don't want to commit to buying online.

They are the heavy canvas or the demim?

Denim.. Wally World usually has them, but not in my size.

I got run off the road and slid along the edge of an asphalt road at about 50.. burned thru the top layer of the jeans but not the bottom.

Unfortunately they are regualr jeans on the back, so I don't recommend sliding down the road on your ...

Really?!?! I'll have to go check again. The problem I find with Wally or Acadamy with stuff like that is they only carry fat peoples size. I wear
32/33 waste 34 length, I'd take a 36 length if I could find it for scooter riding
so they don't ride up over my boots.

I'll try wally again....
