Guess I'm Lucky.

Riding with a friend to meet up others about forty five minutes away, was going smooth.

Out of nowhere, I hear a big BOOM and look down and my left fairing is gone. I immediately stop on the side (thankfully had a huge shoulder) on the left and got off. I was fine and realized a piece of debris, rock or something, hit my fairing and broke something off and i suppose the rest of the fairing came off. Must of been a pretty big rock.

Friend slows down ahead of mine and we walk back to find the fairing. He said it flew in the air about twenty feet and landed. We got the fairing and the tabs were gone and I could see where it got hit and where it broke off. it , the left fairing not salvageable anymore so i left it and walked back to our bikes.

Didn't feel like riding anymore so went home..heres a pic.

I'm safe, no injuries. Thing could of tooken my leg off, OR WORSE. didn't go down, grateful. be safe guys! looking for left fairing for black 2007 cbr 600rr now!

Holy dude. Thats some crazy . I got hit on the knuckle with a rock that broke the kevlar and near broke my hand once.

Its like going through the gauntlet on a bike out there. A little bit of luck and some skill and you might make it out alive on one of these things.

The part is that it happened to a Honda. A lesser bike like a Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki would have completely disintegrated.
