Im expecting a call from my claim tomorrow and ill go from there. Its only a 250 and a brand new one is under or right around 4k, so I assume they will just replace it. I can only hope. Its my only mode of transportation and im broke.

I dont see how it can't be totaled really. Both sides are , fairings trashed, electrical harness ripped and torn out. Leaking gas and oil. Gear shifter torn back and bent like under the bike. And the thing is, I just got new tires and rear brakes. Ha

Glad you are ok, and that he did the right thing. If you get the same 250 use the old one for spair parts, or part it out. At least thats what I would do.

For sure. Those are $400 tires and brakes. Plus my cf two bros exhaust. Took a digger, but should still function

Haha yeah. It would cost more in labor alone to fix than it would to buy a new one.

Don't make a claim with your insurnce. When I was rear endded I called my insurance and was told if I made a claim on my policy the rate would go up. Just ask before you do it.

Well I already did. My insurance shouldn't go up, since it was noted several times that he was at fault. And if it does, im only paying $120/year.

They are just going to give you the todays value of a 08 250. Not what it would cost to replace it. Sorry to say it. Glad you are okay though.
