I had a crappy helmet do that to me once, so I know its possible.

I was running around 110 & had my visor cracked open. A gust got under the edge & opened it pretty violently. I think it opened up so quickly that it went past the normal stops and actually touched the top of the helmet kind of making it into a big air catch. The huge amount of drag it created ripped my head back so that I was looking straight up. If I didn't have the bars to hang onto, it would've dragged me off the bike. I had to let go of the throttle so that I could reach back and help pull my head back forward. (I have a tree trunk for a neck so if it happened to me it would've happened to anyone) It was the scariest few seconds that I've ever had on a bike.
