The Aprilia uses the the V-twin RGV motor with modified heads etc.
Same applies though re usuage.

Note to OP, use the best fully synthetic 2 cycle oil you can afford.

Have owned a couple myself and they are a blast to ride.

Harada's '99 RSV GP500 bike was one of my all time favs (see pic)
Now if you just had a few graphics
my bad, i am refering to the rgv250 v-twin. when we ran those during the Aprilia Cup Challenge they were nuthin but problems. the stock pistons were too brittle and the skirts would break off along with a few other problems. the cranks wouldnt hold up much better either. we destroyed at least one engine per race weekend. like i said before, they are probably decent as a trackday bike, but when we rode em like a real 250... they the bucket.

i just wanted this fella to understand that he did not buy a real race bred 250. he bought a 250 street bike with track plastic on it. that is all

Oh I know, but still very pleased with it. I wish I could get my hands on a REAL moto gp 250. I hear some of those had the upwards of around 100 hp. Did you race these?

that was here too???
I loved that series back home,
some of the lap times they put in especially round tight twisty circuits were pretty amazing.

wow, that's some entry,
no need to ask anymore about lap times but if you have a link or can remember them that would be awesome assuming the circuit hasn't changed since.
