Whats a 600 CC supersport worth?

....Such as 2007ish R6, CBR, ZX6, or GSXR with around 5,000 miles and stock and 'appear' to have never been down or minior scratches. I know what the 'kbb' and other 'price guides' are quoting but something's only worth what people are willing to pay.

I only ask because anything in good condition at any shop I visited this weekend was asking nearly 8,000+ttl. For 2 g's more You could by a brand new one and most shop's wouldn't haggle down much.

Must be the riding season.

dealerships are stealerships depends on how you want to spend your money. but have to remember they are a business first and foremost and money is the main objective

yup, i was gonna say around 5k.

dealers asking 8 for the same thing sounds about right.

you are right, you either might as well pay a little more cash for something new, or go the cheap route and get a decent 04-05 for 3kish

....and to add. I know dealerships have to make money and that's fine but I don't need to jacked off.

I called Suzuki of tombal and they said they had three 07 gsxr's. 1 excellent, 1 good and 1 'marginal' asking 7900ish, 6500, and 5500ish respectively

We drove clear across town (after visiting a number of other dealers with no luck) and what we really find is 1 'Good'...., 1 OK, except for the fact there's huge gouges in the frame from where someone installed frame sliders then wrecked it, then tried to repaint the tank and looked like sh*t and had a totally bent to rear-set, and of the 'marginal' bike which was a complete piece of sh*t....

I was blown away at the asking prices once I actually took a closer look a those bikes....

I guess there's an for every seat but I don't think the one with the in my without a reach-a-round is for me...

/end rant....

i would look at the for sale section on the forum or craigslist and get somethink in the 3k-4k range. Lots of good bikes to be had in that range.

I tried that for quite some time but weeding through all the BS and questionable titles, etc was tiresome so I thought getting one from a shop/dealer and paying a little more would be a better Idea but not $2000 to $3000 more.

High $4Ks to just under $6K.

I had someone contact me earlier tonight. I told him that I don't have any 600s or 750s at the moment, but between MH and CL he should be able to find a GREAT deal.

You just have to enter with your eyes open. It is a buyer's market right now on these types of bikes.

Can't go wrong here
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=187162

Nothing questionable about the title. I had no issues putting it in my name and renewing the tags every year...

I couldn't sell my 09 750 for 7000 even though I still owed 9000. I said it and kept it. Too mamy people want something for nothing. Bikes shouldn't lose half their value for 2 years of use unless they have been on. IMO

Its not the bikes fault. The market went to . That's nothing compared to the housing market. When people buy less, the prices drop due to supply and demand.

I always thought high rpm inline 4 bikes didn't hold good value because of the short engine life.

I don't consider them to have short engine lives. The engines will usually outlast the rest of the bike.
