If you as an adult think that the risk of be coming a fat for eating a bucket of chicken is worth it, then have at it. Same with a helmet. If they proposed legislation to ban motorcycles completely, citing the same reasons you (and others in this thread) have, would you support it? How would you feel if the majority of the population just said "Well, we don't ride motorcycles anyway, what do I care?" Just because you and I know it's a good idea and WANT to wear our helmets (regardless of whether there is a law for it or not), doesn't mean we should be able to FORCE others to wear a helmet that may otherwise want to. Same as we can't force people to stop riding motorcycles or eating fried chicken. It's a choice, and the person making that choice is the one who has to deal with the resultant consequences.
So why cant I buy a handgun? (under 21).

If you're over 18, you can - you just cannot purchase one through an FFL.

Although, being a NON-US citizen, that has a whole host of issues associated with it.

It also has NOTHING to do with this thread, but I'm sure many of us will happily school your dumb on firearms law too.

Dude - come on...have you seen some of your fellow humans?

If it weren't for alcohol, they'd never get laid. Yeah - one could make an argument for alcohol on the need to propagate the species...

Neither would I. If it were MY 2 year old, I'd simply tell him "No". If it weren't, its up to his parents.

Government is not my parent, it is my servant.

Great - I don't really give a . Get back to me when you're actually a US citizen. Then, and only then will your opinion on US law matter.

Doesn't it make more sense to eliminate the welfare and Medicaid systems that make that possible?

You're fighting the symptom, not the cause.

I can quote Janis Joplin too.

Can you actually add anything to the discussion, or do you simply gain pleasure by disrupting a serious conversation with your inane commentary?

Hey - its cool if that's what gets you off.
