Alright, as a "shop owner" and a "site sponsor", I'll add in my 2 cents.

First off, just to clarify because there seems to be some innuendo flying around here, I have never complained about signatures, and no Charles, you're wrong, the mods and owner, get the EXACT same discount as EVERYONE ELSE on MH does.

What Chris said is correct, lots of us in the motorcycle business work with each other; I regularly work with NW Honda, Cycle Gear Greenspoint, AJ Foyt and a bunch of others. Joe up at Powersports in Conroe is my friend and we've helped each other out.

Now on to the REAL issue at hand;
Chris, the owner of this forum that we are all guests on, has decided for whatever reason, that promoting a business in your sig line without them being a site sponsor, isn't cool.

Maybe another site sponsor bitched, maybe it was a point brought up by other potential site sponsors. Who knows?

Compared to a lot of national sites this place is very laid back in terms of advertising, language, drama, etc.
In reading this thread, I find it hilarious that out of all the people , whining and moaning, this only affects TWO of them, and those two; Chris and Joe, have been the most reasonable about it.

In closing, the point is;

A) if a site sponsor bitched, it's their perogative, that's why they're a sponsor, DUH!

B) If not, everyone needs to remember, this is Chris's house, and we are all his guests. Don't like it or the rules? LEAVE!

I know you guys are poking fun at advertising here and about what you can say or not say. There are gullable people on this site and often take out of context what your saying. Just be aware of that before yall stir up anything.

Jetchanic, the link in your sig is what we are talking about.

i wouldnt even really say it effects me, its not like i own stubbs cycles, lol. i get a 1% commision if i hit a 20k goal. the difference to my own finances a line in a sig would make would amount to like $4 a month.

then again, that $4 could buy alot of Dr. Pepper! i could buy a couple two liters, chug them down and ty howards lap records on my first trackday, right max!

if solracer would allow a line in your sig for some small "donation" i might go for it, just for giggles, assuming it was cheap enough for me to justify it. i pm'ed him about im just waiting for a response.

in the meantime this thread is wayyyyyy to hilarious!!:laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6
