An old flame came back into my life...and my wife is cool with it!

Couldn't believe it. By chance an old flame came back into my life. I considered the ramifications, but really wanted her back in my life. Thought about it for a while, then finally decided that it's my life and the wife will just have to deal with it.

Admit it, we've all had that old flame that left a strong memory and you wonder what life would be like now if only you could get her back.

I broke the news to the wife recenty and she was 100% cool with it. She freaking rocks.

See below for picks. I know she isn't perfect, but I am just smitten...

keep going.....

She will be getting a full suspension and motor going over, then new shoes. Maybe even a new "F by F" aluminum plate on the exhaust missing on one side.

I thought about a full cosmetic work over, but I think I'll wait as it really isn't bad, just some patina from proper usage over 27K miles.

I rode a friends 1993 900SS. That almost looks like the same bike. His has 23K miles on it. He is going to sell it since he has so many other bikes. It was a blast to ride. I am sure you will enjoy every moment while riding that bike..

It is actually surprisingly light weight, with all of about 80 horsepower. It is the perfect hill country weapon.

I took it around the neighborhood and remember why I enjoyed this bike so much. I like my DB4, but I gotta say, this one still just works for me. I cannot wait to get suspension and motor freshened up.

I've never ridden a 916, but it's on my list to own one...one day. A 95 would be the year I would want as well.
