As far as replacements, either the Aprilia or the Ducati would be awesome bikes.
I agree with 04RSVR about his observations on the MV's. Plus parts are difficult to reliably obtain.

Take a day to go and look at and sit on all three. Which ever one does it for you the most is the one you should get. If you take three people and have them all sit on these three bikes you might get three diferent opinions. The only thing that really matters is, what you really want.
I am obviously biased and you can read threads on each bikes forums speaking their praise.
Just get the one that makes your pulse highest when you are near it. No matter what different write-ups say and different people tell you, you'll be happy that way because you bought the bike that was right for you!
Oh, and hear each one with an aftermarket exhaust!! I love the way a smooth bassy twin sounds but the MV screams like no other IL4 in the upper rpms.
