Just got back from Ohio again for a business trip and it's actually a lot worse there. This time I actually saw about 3 people wearing helmets. Two weeks ago, I didn't see a helmet the whole 4 days I was there. The best sight was on Tuesday though. I was driving a semi-rural route between Dayton and the Cleveland area -thanks to my GPS being inadvertently set to "avoid major highways." I saw a guy on what looked like some form of old UJM - probably a CB750, but I was too busy looking at him. No helmet, no gloves, no shirt, shorts and barefoot. This was about 10 minutes before pulling up next to a Gixxer boy wearing a pair of those neprene looking slip-ons with the toes in them -

Tank top, shorts, no gloves but very surprisingly was wearing a helmet. Probably trying to hide his face because didn't want anyone to know that he had a pair of shoes like that.

Also managed to see a fat lady riding her John Deere garden tractor down the main street of a small town with a gallon of gas on her lap and a case of Bud Light bungee corded to the back. My stupid blackberry requires a password, and then still takes about 10 seconds for the camera to come up on it. So many ops for pics last week...

I saw a shirtless harley guy going south on I-35 at that exact same time. He had on jeans though. He was an older guy. Looked pretty nasty with that gray, wiry chest hair.

If that was you... I was on the black and red GSXR1000 a couple lanes over.

Went out on an early morning ride today with the wife. We both had our helmets, jackets, gloves, boots, and thick jeans. We passed a bunch of bikers with no gear only helmets, and a bunch with no helmets. It was hot as heck, but we rode. It was cool stopping at a Denny's for breakfast in our gear.
