Prolly because it's not HCTRA that does it, and why it's LEO's you see parked near the plazas.

I encourage you to try and follow my point. The point isn't that its legal or even a good idea. The point is that you should think a little bit instead of believing everything you read on the interwebz. If you get arrested for riding the line, the cop is just being a . There is no more legal reason to arrest you for riding the line than there is to arrest you for speeding.

Yea, I was born last night. I'm kinda new. If a cop thinks he can use "theft of service" as an excuse to arrest you, who's going to intervene?

This is true. We should all think a little more about what laws we can and can't break while easily getting away with monetary fees versus being detained.

Ya'll missed the point. Or maybe I didn't explain it well. Either way, try reading it again. If you still don't get it, well...

not really, you questioned whether you can be arrested for "riding the line" and many people have shown why. next your point is the cop is being a , while valid. you still get arrested

so what is your point?

Yea, your point is that you don't believe riding the stripe is either against the law or a jailable offense. So?

No, the question was not CAN you be arrested, but what exactly you will be arrested for. The implication in the beginning of the thread was that riding the line is a crime. So far that has not been shown to be true by anyone. The best answer so far is that you can be charged with failure to maintain lane. Ergo, all that was just scare tactic bs, based on "this one guy on the interwebz said..."

Not to mention, if it was really a big issue for the HCTRA, they would
1. Have something about it on their website. Maybe even a full blown publicity campaign.
2. Implement technology to stop it from happening. Maybe even something as high tech as those stick/cone thingies that they have in some places that make riding the line impossible.

1. What percent of the motoring public rides motorcycles on the tollway?
2. You think the county could recover the expense of installing something like that through collecting more tolls from riders?

Riding the line and refusing to pay the toll are not the same thing.

What did they write on your ticket?

They have it in some places. Seems easier that dedicating constables to harass bikers. How much could it really cost?

HCTRA doesn't even have FAQs about motorcycles

Are tax dollars used for the toll roads?
Aren’t toll roads a form of double taxation?
Can a single EZ TAG be used in more than one vehicle?
Can I use my EZ TAG in a rental vehicle?
Do I need to add my trailer to my EZ TAG Account?
How are multi-axle vehicles (trailers) handled?
How do I delete or remove a vehicle from my account?
How do I get my statements for filing my taxes?
How do I pay for a toll violation?
How do I switch my battery tag to a sticker tag?
How much does it cost to purchase a replacement EZ TAG?
What are my responsibilities as an EZ TAG account holder?
What forms of payment does EZ TAG accept?
What forms of toll payment do you accept at the plazas and booths?
What happens if I go through a toll lane without paying the toll?
What happens if my EZ TAG is lost or stolen?
What internet browser(s) does this site support?
What is a Toll Violation Invoice?
What is a Toll Violation?
What vehicles require license plate TAGs instead of regular TAGs?
Where can I report accidents or hazardous conditions on the tollway?
Why can't the new EZ TAGs be removed from my windshield?
Why does the website repeatedly ask me to log-in?
Why haven’t the roads “gone free”?
Will the new EZ TAG work with my OnStar system or satellite radio?
