Mine's underneath my seat near the tail of the bike and works without any problem.

I also keep a key fob gate control in my other titty pocket. It's smaller but about twice as thick, probably going to cause me more problems than an easy tag.

Plus I might have an iphone in one side pocket, and a wallet in the other. If they aren't in my riding pants pockets, which would probably be even more painful.

Death by iphone? I look at it as additional body armor, the pockets in my jacket keep stuff flat against me rather than at a weird angle. Not too worried about the risk.

You can use EZ Tags with multiple vehicles, you use a smart phone or some other interweb device to access your online account and change the vehicle information associated with the device. Or you can just pony up the 15$ for another tag, not expensive. Just keep your vehicles listed on the EZ tag website anyways for plate lookup.
Almost (how close I don't know) broke a rib snowboarding because of a camera in my jacket pocket. It hurt for several weeks. I was wondering why, then I put my jacket on with the camera in the pocket, and guess what, it lined up perfectly with where it hurt.

Was aggravated at the lack of pockets on my leather one piece suit (only one), and then remembered the snowboarding incident - maybe that's why.

Like bevo said, I'm pretty sure actively avoiding a toll while not maintaining a lane can somehow be escalated if the officer wants to. I mean, it's pretty obvious what you are attempting, so why should an officer offer ANY slack? There's solid white lines for 100 yards before and after... you shouldn't be changing lanes either

I still can't figure out why people say this... a vast majority of people I know keep theirs in the tailsection (my brothers is taped to the side of the battery under the seat), and have them in the center console of their cars.

I quit keeping anything in my jacket... seen too many injuries from wrecks. Heck, the nasty bruise and sore ribs my brother had from his was enough for me. If you call it armor, cool... it's all on you. , some people don't wear helmets/jackets/gloves, I guess you're still on the positive side of things.

You can legally swap the tag to diff vehicles all the time... but if you don't change it online, it's against the agreement, and you will be fined after 3 violations.

btw, these are directed just at you, you just happened to post about them.

Frankly, if you cannot afford the $15/tag for each of your bike(s), how can you afford more than one bike? Spend your energy on productive things, rather than on how to cheat the EZtag.

BTW, EZTag put in my jacket's front pocket does not get picked up. Same with leather or mesh jacket. For sure won't work kept in my bike's tail. May be I am just "dense"?

I've tried putting the EZTAG brick in my jacket pocket and under my rear set but neither works at all. I just wave to the attendant to open the gate.

In any case if you ride right through, they'll photograph your plate and charge your EZTAG account accordingly by checking the plate number with their database.

Mine never read under the tail, so its now tie wrapped under the windsheild, just in front of the gauges. Works fine.

You may have a bad transponder. Mine is in the tail and opens the gates but I have to almost stop

I quoted what is on their site under FAQ. While a cop CAN take you to jail for pretty much anything, getting convicted is something else. The only thing I can possible think of is attempted theft of some kind. However, some unnamed poster posting a warning on here is...let's just say in need of authentication. SO, I'm gonna call BS.

Does the FAQ ask, "Can I ride the stripe?"

Long story, short. Poster said he was riding the stripe. HCTRA pulled him over, then called HPD to arrest the poster. HPD was biker friendly and mediated a deal between the HCTRA cop and the rider, that if the rider would post his experience as a warning to others on MH, the rider would only be ticketed and not arrested.

This was posted well before you joined way back in March of 2012

i was recently ticketed for riding the line, went to court, showed my tag had paid.

dismissed.

kinda miffed cuz cop parks right at toll charge bridge, i had moved towards the center stripe (but not white lining) to give him some room, and cop pulled me over. told me how "white lining works" , lol wrote ticket, told me he rode and my bike was NICE, lol

went on my way.

My tags are in the left saddlebag of my VFR and my wife's ST. They're Velcro to the front wall of the cases so that they point the same direction they would on a windshield or front fairing. I have more trouble with signal lights than I do with my tags being read.

And yeah, just pay the toll, or get on a "free" road. Why has every thing related to traffic, roads, or laws become something to try to beat? I gave somebody at work a hard time about not having his bike inspected. Come on, it's less than 15 bucks and if it has lights, brakes, and honks, it passes.
