FINALLY...getting another motorcycle!!!

What's up guys! I rode a Gixxer 600 about 5 years ago and due to random events, i was forced to sell her. I always told myself that i will get another bike and I'm finally set to purchase one soon. So I'm looking at 2 specific bikes...
1. New style Ducati Monster 796 or 1100
2. Ducati Sport Classic

Does anyone know anything about Ducatis in term of reliability, comfort, and overall ride? I would really like option 2 but it's really hard for me to find that bike. Also what's the deal with Ex-import? I tried going to their website and it's not there anymore. I always hear bad reviews about them but i would like someone's input that have personally dealt with them. Beside Ex-Import, are there any other Ducati dealers around the Houston area? Thanks for all the help!

I have an '09 Monster 1100s and I love it! Seriously perfect bike if it's what you're in the market for. It's comfortable as ! Lots of torque, and it easy and fun to flick from side to side. Perfect for a city like Houston.

The ONLY downside is the fuel tank size. I can only get about 120 miles or so before i have to fill up. I expected more MPG but it's all good, I didn't buy it to take on trips.

I was in the market for the M1100s, the Streetfighter and the Hypermotard.

The Motard is comfy as , and I'm sure it's fun but it's still a motard and the gas tank was even smaller than the Monster. The streetfight is a 1198 with no fairings. Uncomfortable for every day city riding and the clutch pull is SUPER stiff.

Best of luck. Duc's are lovely

You can also give the guys at Lunsford's Honda a call, they are a full line Ducati shop as well and have a nice selection on the floor. 45N before beltway

Nice! I was also looking at Streetfighters but i think it's way too much bike for me. I think the Monster is the perfect balance for a returning rider like myself. I'm currently in the San Marcos area so i was going to swing by Ducati Austin sometime tomorrow. I will swing by Lunsford's next week to check them out. Thanks for the advice.

You need to check out Houston superbikes. I've heard great things, got a good collection. Almost next door to eximports.

I should NOT have opened this thread. I'm about to pay off the last of my debt next month and my bike is getting up there in mileage(looks like too) Their RSV4 and Streetfighter S are a LOT cheaper than I've seen.

Yip! This is the shop to go to...

Excellent service and the prices at the shop are the same as on line prices. I've purchased many things from there and have no regrets of any with them.

Plus you can get an ice cold beverage there for free!

Yea i found a few outside of TX. It sucks because it's a big hassle but it'll be worth it IMO.
