I can only teach, i cant make decisions for you. if you fail to take the caution measurements I suggest, and do fall off, not my problem.
if anything, I would go get something to eat, and then come back looking for them, hey at least I tried, i could tell them.

Everytime I see this I feel for the girl! Yes, she was stupid for not wearing gear, but still all that has gotta hurt! At least she seems to have learned from it!

There are many riders that does not wear gear because they couldn't afford to buy it.

I had a helmet, gloves, and 2 jackets at least a year before my first bike, and all of them were of quality
I prioratized my purchases. I should have thrown boots in there though. I need boots.

Maybe they should buy less expensive bikes and buy the proper gear with the money they save.

If they buy a less expensive bike then the extra money of saving goes to repair the bike and still comes out short.

A more expensive bike does not mean it will be more reliable. Just look at the newer gsxrs' that are having frame cracking problems. Gear is alot cheaper than a hospital bill. My arm cost $57,000. It is worth 500 in leathers to prevent that. Don't you think?

If you can't afford gear then maybe you shouldn't have a bike! To me gear is part of the bike, not a seperate thing! Just my .02

When I first bought my bike, I didnt have gear to ride, so I mowed lawns to get a jacket and a helmet.. Both the helmet and jacket were too big, but it was better than none.:notworthy

Mala Lingua, you should stop riding or sell your bike until you have enough money to buy gears and take msf class and insurance on the bike.

JK.....

I have heard all the flames about people should have gear on, insurance and taking msf class. Some people aren't so lucky.

Me, , I am terrified of wrecks and I do wear gear. I only have a mile from work to home and I still wear all my gear.

Of course, this is all from a life, time and land far away (ask me sometime how I managed to become a grandma at the tender age of 18).

I lurked on this site for a while before joining and was impressed by how adamantly the majority of you advocate safety. Your positive peer pressure works. You've taken a rank sinner-squid from the streets and transformed her into a MH safety choir girl.

I have an extra jacket, gloves and boots! If they fit you are more than welcome to borrow until you can buy some! Gotta take care of my fellow RR chic riders!
