I have a LOT of underarmour shirts (long and shortsleeve) and the material they use compared to the AlpineStars underwear is different. Go with AlpineStars RaceTech 1 Peice Underwear for the following reasons:
  • 1 peice so it doesnt bunch up or slide when putting on your leathers
  • Has a variety of materials, particularly in the high use areas (ie: forearm and calves) that make it more comfortable to plant your arm on the tank or inner leg on the side of the bike when cornering. Assists with feel.
  • Has a zipper for peeing. No trap door for #2s though.
  • Built for the riding position. It is meant to be uncomfortable standing up in the suit.
  • Material is more 'panty-hose'-like than UA's materials. Better for wicking away moisture...you don't know you have it on.

I too was skeptical at the $120 cost but believe me, it's well worth it

you! I was all set to save money by NOT buying the A* suit

Thanks for the input, my friend...

May I also recommend AlpineStars socks? At $20/pair, they aren't cheap but they too are built properly for riding and for A* boots. The toe area features a thicker cut so they don't develop holes when shifting. There is a seperate, eslastic-like line between the toes and foot area to keep the toe area tight for feel. I can go on

I love AlpineStars! <3

I used to wear Gold Toes thinking they would do the job since they are thin and because of the 'gold toe', but they quickly developed holes. The AlpineStar socks are thick, so you'd think they would be uncomfortable (tight and hot) but they are neither. For me, they help reduce vibration fatigue from the vtwin They also 'fill' the boot so I have excellent feel.

I wore the thick motocross sox, especially endurance racing minis. You are
on the of your feet almost the entire time and the thick socks make a difference...

I wear sock liners from Academy. They're thin, they wick, and wear great.

I can vouch for the Alpinestars socks. They are great! If the comfort they provide is indicative of the level of comfort the 1pc undersuit would provide, I think I may be sold...

My socks are under armour, got them for cheap on amazon. They're pretty thick as well. I havent had any problems with holes yet, but I haven't wore them that much either. I was originally looking at the Sidi socks, but most everywhere I like to order from had them on back order, so I went with the baseball socks. I refuse to buy anything A* for personal reasons (not impressed with their customer service, or lack of)...but I personally couldn't justify $120 on a one piece suit liner. I've never had any issues with bunching with my UA stuff and my stuff stood up to years of football, I doubt it would have any problems wearing in high-use areas, but I've been wrong before!

But if you got the money, more power to you!

I just wear cheap socks.

they are cheap for a reason, when they develop holes... they become useless and I throw them away...

I went to REI, and bought a pair of silk long johns. Leathers just fall off when you're shrugging out of them between sessions, and sweat evaporates so fast your legs almost feel cold when you take off the leathers.

I just bought the pants. I think$ 30, plus a sale discount and member annual distribution. An underarmor t-shirt above.

I got a longsleeve UA HeatGear shirt and Adidas CoolMax socks from Academy last night. Also have some padded bike shorts. Gonna try that this weekend and see how it all works out.

I'm still interested in suggestions, as this may not do it for me.

Get in a dry bath tub and have someone fill it with ice. Sit for 30 minutes and then ride
