Under The Leather????

Not a noob by an stretch, but a noob to 1pc leathers. Have a 1pc on the way and curious to know what you wear under yours to stay cool/comfy in the HEAT!

I'm considering buying an Astars undersuit or some UnderArmour HeatGear, but do I really need to spend the dough for that stuff?

If you ride commando under your suit, keep that to yourself, please

UA knockoff nike long sleeve shirt, and UA compression shorts. The UA brand, I feel, grips the suit too much. The nike makes it easier to slide out.

Any type of wicking UnderArmor type garment will do. Champion and Starter make less expensive stuff. That's what I wear as a long sleeved shirt plus bicycle shorts

Academy carries a brand BCG that has the "dry-fit" long sleeve, shorts, and pants for like 7.99-12.99. Mine has lasted over a year now.

No , I wear boxers and a t-shirt.

I might pony up for the under armor for next time, though. Any time I have gone down at the track, I had some kind of leather rash on the knees or elbows.

Great info guys! I was hoping that I wasn't gong to have to spend the extra coin on anything special. , the suit costs enough to begin with.

I have used the BCG stuff from Academy before for the winter. I will check out their summer gear.

Does anyone have any issues with wearing only shorts under the suit? I would think your knees might be a bit uncomfy after a while...

I wear compression shorts. No real problems.

I wear the long compression pants as well instead of shorts. Not any hotter than the shorts IMO, and helps the suit come off easier.

I know that tiachi and a few others make "track jammies". They look like a mesh onesie. I'd probably try that for no other reason that ease of removal of wet leather....

I can remember it'd be 100 in the pits but you left your suit on for fear of not being able to get back into it by 3rd call....

Long compression by BCG? Or UnderArmour?

Knee high Nike dry-fit socks, ua shorts and long sleeve heat gear.

Cottons will get wet and sticky. You'll go insane trying to slide the upper portion of your leathers on and off between sessions at the track.

Wal-Mart sells the Starter stuff for dirt cheap. I have a short sleeve one and shorts that I got for like $15 total for both.

You'll never get it off. It'll stick to you like glue. I always were compression shorts and long sleeve heat gear under armour under it. The one time I tried without it, in my house, wasn't even sweating and had a helluva time getting the thing off.
