Depressing gas prices

I was looking through some older pics this morning and found this one. It had to be from around '02 or so and taken somewhere in the North Georgia mountains. I look at the price of premium at 1.47 and it's a bummer.

I miss those prices as much as I miss the old R6. It started as a street bike, went to the track, then did double duty. I understand those that have left the street for track only riding, but when you live an hour of two away from some of the best roads in the country it's hard not to want to ride them every week.

Surprisingly, I never got much flak from the law about that bike - even though it had no mirrors, turn signals or any real headlights. I had a quikly detachable mount under the Skarkskinz nose that I plugged a driving light into. Took about 5 minutes to pull that and the kickstand for track days.

Time to take a new picture with gas prices in the background. That way in a few years time you can get all depressed again.
