Not intimidated by it or anyone on here throwing threats one bit, just find it incredible how passionately some people defend this asinine behavior.

Sorry, any one that supports this behavior is dead wrong, sorry dude, thats how it is.

I take it you are one of those that sided with these douche bags on the videos.
I wouldn't worry about it either, they guys that threatened you are probably in the hospital right now undergoing skin grafts.

I dont think houston drivers would have been so patient, and they wonder why the sportbike community is hassled by the popo and thought to be a bunch of fucktards by the general public.

It may have been discussed already with that BS they pull in dallas, but i wonder what the law on the cars/ traffic stuck behind the motos. I doubt they are within their rights to just accelerate and plow through the dirtbags ( although that WOULD be satisfying)

i bet you're just supposed to call the cops and maybe take down license plate #'s??

^I'm assuming that would be attempted murder, but I wouldn't be surprised to see in the news one day a lunatic stuck behind them plows them down and/or starts shooting.

Calling cops, license plates, taking video (like these geniuses do) of their plates and faces (of the ultimate no-helmet squids) would help.

And people wonder why so many cagers are more agressive towards motorcyclists. It's because of BS like this.

They (while riding) all have helmets and 95% of these bikes are not tagged for street. So Writing down LP# and or videos would not help. This is probably the last year for this ride. The cops were practicing funneling the bikes into closed off parking lots this year it just didn't work right. I was invited to ride but I declined because I'm not going to jail for acting the on the streets. I keep all this stuff at the spot. Whether or not the people behind them were in danger or not is kinda obvious. So "plowing them and shooting them is a little on the extreme side. People get and try and run Sport bikes off the roads for trying to pass at 5 over and everyone is up in arms about it, but a few stunters close off a highway for 5 mins and its okay to kill them for having to wait while they perform a ritual (illegal or not) in remembrance of a couple fallen friends. Come on guys its once a year for like 5 or 10 mins. We all stop at while a funeral drives by, I'm sure these guys would love a police escort to carry out the memorial service. But honestly what police department is going to help a bunch of us punk bike riders anyway. I wouldn't do it for the fear of jail, but I wouldn't ride lime creek road with my knee dragging in the corners either for the fear of death. Everyone looks at what they do themselves through a conscious filter and it seems okay. Right or wrong these guys aren't hurting anyone and do NOT deserve to die.

monster - good call not going on that ride. and yeah 5 - 10 mins doesn't seem like long... what if there' s an ambulance stuck in that mess of traffic???

yeah, major accidents happen that completely shut down the highway... but those are not planned events like this display of complete stupidity.

This is a hard one to side on. The ambulance scenario is one to be considered but if you know dallas you know that unless there is a wreck on that stretch of HWY there wouldn't be an ambulance. I just spoke with one of the guys from that video just a few minuets ago and told him that he was being judged for this and how the general public feels. I asked him if he thought the rest of the crew would try and ask the cops for some help to make this a legit. deal. He laughed and said "it is easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission". In the case of the DPD that is probably true. I just wish that all riders could get along. These street stunters are a breed of their own, I love pushing myself and my machine to the limi,t but I also spent along time paying for pushing those limits in the wrong places. If I want to ride faster than 70 I need to take it to the track with you guys. If i want to ride my bike like a unicycle then I take it to the spot. If I want to see how fast I can get going in 1320ft take it to the strip. I have that luxury, but most of these guys don't. We were all young and dumb at one point. I'm sure if people knew the stuff we all did from 18-25 there would be some very interesting threads out there. Tolerance is the key, understanding the need, however ill placed it may be, for these guys to express themselves and their sport is the only way riders can ever truly unite to make this lifestyle safer and more accepted.

Well, I dont care what spin you put on it to make it sound not so bad, it doesnt change the fact that it is incredibly improper, dangerous, inconvenient, disrespectful and it gains no new fans for the rest of us non-.

So many things can happen cause of that that could get an innocent bystander hurt going about his or her business.

We all have done stupid things when we were younger. I know I did, just most of us did not include a few hundred other scumbags to put others at risk in our little adventures for our enjoyment.
Is that attitude that these have that leads to nothing good.

I would like to ask what these guys were doing that could have injured an innocent bystander (on the side of a highway). Improper yes, inconvenient of course, disrespectful maybe, but dangerous enough to make people feel like they should die or be murdered not by a long shot. Plus it doesn't take a couple hundred people doing something stupid to put others at risk just one. I wasn't trying to put a "spin" on anything just trying to understand what makes people want to see these guys die. I would go as far as to ask someone to show me one instance where a guy doing a wheelie kills or injures someone who wasn't involved in the activities. If one of those bikes goes down and a car hits it would the fact that it was in a wheelie when it dropped make it any more lethal than a guy losing his front end through a corner.

How about getting slammed from behind by a big truck with your kids in the back in seats?

Sure the almost happened to me once.

But wait, that has absolutely nothing to do with people stopping traffic on a "free"way. Not that people are accustomed to free flowing traffic when they are on a "free"way or anything.

Look you choose to tolerate, maybe even condone this bullshit and I dont. And there seems to be nothing that is going to change either one's opinions.

One of those things where you think you are right, and I KNOW I am.

That could happen just as easily if there was a wreck, and anyone on that HWY is almost certainly not expecting free flowing traffic.

Look, like I said before it is dumb and it should be regulated by the police. I DIDN'T go because I believed as you do, it isn't smart. It is a bad way to stand up for a good thing. My point was originally this, if tolerance was practiced then maybe a group who used to be outcast would join the masses and try and fit in with everyone else's paradigm for what is socially acceptable. Then and only then could a police organized memorial ride could be planned to shut down only two of the three lanes. Then these , , wreckless, punk, idiotic, dumbass, squidish, retards could be seen as the athletes they are and not some rebel without a cause riot group. IMO and I am done with this, if you want to discuss this more you can reach me PM.

Too bad there is not some sort of constructive way to honor their fallen friends. Like a memorial ride where they raise money to help out the families of their friends.

This is the universal justification phrase.
Everyone uses this to ultimately justify any unsafe practice.

Those kind of fucktards ride everywhere, they just usually don't organize like they have in Dallas. Thank they have only figured out how to do it once a year.
