I'm on the list.

He said we don't have to show for the date on the ticket. He is getting it rescheduled to view evidence and enter a not guilty plea.

From an email
Hello all,

This is a group mailing so it may appear somewhat un-personal. If you have any questions, please feel free to respond to this email or call me.

Currently there are 5 people from the group who want to retain me for representation. This is somewhat below my targeted number of 8+ people. I was originally intending to charge $25 each, but I will now have to charge a little more to make it worthwhile for me to travel to Alvin.

Your arraignment date is 6/21. You don't have to worry about this. Your first appearance will get kicked to another date. How far out is my guess as I don't know how busy the Alvin courthouse is. I will enter pleas of "not guilty" for you and set your case on a pre-trial docket. This is our opportunity to file any necessary motions and see what kind of evidence the State has (including any potential cop dash cam video).

Chris (Solracer) has said that he will try to get some more people, which will allow us to keep the fee low. I am not allowed to market my services directly because of professional rules.

Sincerely,

Fresnel

Where's the list and how do I get on that said list?

Is there another thread about this cause I need Fresnel on the case too.

I'll send him a PM for now.

It is still a moving violation, and you don't want that on your record.

Someone else mentioned $225 and you would still want to take a class to keep it from raising your insurance rate. So maybe just going up there and paying it may cost you 225 plus defensive driving cost.

You have one of a plan there. You wanna pay the ticket, get deferred, AND take DD? You don't normally pay the ticket when you get deferred.

i do that for all my tickets.. trust me i got a good lil file of them lol... if u do DD they usually cut the ticket down to about 100 bucs and if u ask for deferred then after 3 months if u dont get another moving violation it comes of ur record.. so ya i have no problem payin 100 bucs and takin DD and have it off my record.. then on top of that i usually turn my DD slip into my insurance and get it lowered bc ur insurance doesnt see that u have a moving violation bc u askd for deferred and it doesnt go towards ur insurance unless u violate the deferred by getin another traffic violation...

?? The ticket doesn't go on your record if you take DD either. Most people do one OR the other (DD or deferred); never heard of someone doing both.

I have to fight it cause if they find that I have a CDL then I cant take DD or get it deferred.
