Thanks to Henry(FZ1Moto) for dragging me out to the track today. It was fun trying to keep up with this guy.

Race tires freaking Rock guys.. not one slip today and i was pushing it pretty hard at the end of the day.. This 636 is awesome too.. I do not miss the R1 at all.. This bike is everything i could ask for. Thanks to Javier for the damper he let me borrow.. And thanks to brandon for his tips and help throughout the day..

Gixxerbill, get off your and get it together!!

And thanks to Teresa for supporting me this past week as it has been very frustrating and busy.

Sound like you had a good time. Were you and Doug in the same level? I haven't heard from him yet? I am working at getting off my but the shoulder still hurts so it might not be until november till I can ride again. Plus trying to get the bike shipped here.

Tell me more about the difference between the R1 and the 636? Did you really feel faster on it? Any times?

i rode with Dougs group a couple of times but, the time we all went together (me, henry, doug, glen and, bill) my shifter bolt backed out of the rearset and it fell off so, i had to pull off put back on and went back to the pits to tighten then went back out, never caught up with them.

The difference was not much to be honest, the power delivery is there but not quite as soon as the R1. at about 9000R's it comes alive, i need to adjust the clutch alittle b/c it was dragging on down shifts, the slipper clutch didnt really affect me at all, its different of downshifting and engine breaking. I loved the 636 for sure, i was very extremely impressed with it's performance, I did not ever at one time miss the R1. Of course it doesn't have the torque or the HP of the R1 but i was def. faster on the 6, lap timers battery was dead so I didn't get a time. I ran the mach race at the end of the day passing 7 people of the 18 on the grid, i started in the last row and took off after everyone else had left. I think i did pretty good friday.

I helped out several people that had never been on A track before, I had alot of fun helping out. I actually worked with 3 guys all day long that made a great improvement from the time we entered the track for the first session till the time we had our last session. It was awesome to know that I saved some one from crashing out. I didn't think i had it in me to make such an impact on the way someone rode.

Every suggestion that i made to them, they followed to a T. I suggested that they have Brandon set up there susp. and the next thing I know both guys were with him getting that done, which greatly improved their abilities.

I had such a great time.. I am now the newest track instructor for Lone Star Trackdays. I owe a huge thanks to all those involved that help me get in. You know who you are. It was a team effort. I again give my thanks to Ronnie H. and Steve M. for giving me the opportunity to prove my worthiness as such. :notworthy
