Tony, you can take my DRZ-SM to a Tuesday night motard ride if you want. We can swap out on it and my WR250X. Just let me know what week.

Oh F that. I like my E-start thankyouverymuch.

I did the battery upgrade via Eddie Sisnero's bracket, and it made a HUGE difference in starting that bike. Just exemplified how anemic the stock battery really was. It's a simple, inexpensive mod, and worth it several times over. Best single mod I've done to that bike, easily.

I don't get that at all. Although my "street speeds" are below the speed limit. It does get a little vibey if you're way up the tach trying to do 100+ mph.

I rode one from College Station back to Houston at normal highway speeds and through traffic. When I got off, my hands felt like I had been holding a paint shaker running at full speed.

When I rode one at the track, it felt fine. I can't explain it as I have limited time on it (450). If you own one, I would defer to your call on that, just relaying my experience on one.

ooooooo!! this is the thread for me too. i started looking into hypermotards cause i wanted a new bike as well, but i commute n what not,and the horsepower kinda shunned me away from that. im on the speed triple now. but a modded drz sounds like a pretty good idea tho.

Jesus. The farthest I've ridden mine is from Katy to Cypress. I was more concerned about the fact that my had fallen asleep than my hands. I haven't ridden a bunch of different tards, but from the small sampling I have, I don't think the SXV is any more vibey than anything else.

EDIT: and yes I own one. I'm the slow guy on the SXV in lightweight this year at GSS.
