anyone ridden a suzuki TU250?

id never heard of these things till the other day. basicly its similar to a GZ250 or a honda rebel, except i would say the body style is a little more retro. i wasnt really all that interested until i saw that the little thing is FUEL INJECTED!

just from a maintenance standpoint that is awesome, but i also wonder how much of a peformance gain you can get on a 250? i want to see one drag race a ninja 250.

The TU250's are pretty cool....if you never have to get above 50. That was the bike we used in my MSF. They're pretty spunky and I think they're comfortable. If I lived in Galveston and rarely left the island, I would own one. I don't see them being very practical for anything over about a 20 mile commute.

It's geared different than the Ninja and has more pep off the line, but it won't top out as fast as the Ninja. I rode a Ninja home for a guy on the forum the other day and it topped out at 82 indicated. Took awhile to get there, too. I don't see the TU250 going that fast.

Edit: In all fairness...the 82 mph max indicated was into one helluva headwind.

Oh...they handle pretty well, too. Very nimble bikes. Being a standard, it won't corner as well as the Ninja, but it will be much better than a cruiser.

They don't make the hp of a ninja, and the engine is much more relaxed. I think they only have 5 speed gearboxes also. Last I rode one was MSF.

I rode one for my MSF course over at Mancuso. They were a lot of fun. Surprisingly nimble and fast with a guy my size riding one. Way to uncomfortable for me though. I looked like a normal person riding a minibike.
