did they give any local anesthetic or did they make you sweat it out? i know those can be painful as . we had a little girl back in the ER who almost lost her hand because she had two bites. props to having your son natural, what was his weight?

they gave me morphine when in hospital stayed there for 2.5 days so that was not bad then got out of hosp. and had to go to my doc to have the packing changed out and she told me take the vicodine before i went so I was taking 2 750 mg ones which still didnt do to much...

On a better note my son was 7 lbs 14.5 ounces and 21 1/4 inches long

wow, they gave you the good stuff. 1500mg of vicodine is a lot of opiate, do you still have pain in that leg?

aww...good size baby, how old is he now?

I was bit by a spider once on my arm and in a matter of min. the vein in my arm was turning black and you could see it follow all the way up my arm towards my chest.
I had to push an infection out of my arm from the bite point.
This spiders venom was colapsing my vein going to my heart.
I never saw the spider but still have the scar from where the bite / discharge was.

I live in Atascocita, near Lake Houston. A few years ago I lived in an apartment right on the lake. I've never seen so many spiders (and snakes!) in my life!!! My house is a couple of miles from the lake, but I had it built so I guess when they cleared the trees from the area, the spiders went into hiding. When I moved in, the spiders tried to move in too! :laughing6

I mean, they are STILL everywhere. Hyooooge tarantula looking wolf spiders. I'm not quite as freaked out by them anymore since I found out they are harmless, or mostly harmless. But I can walk outside right now and see at least 3+ of them.

I HATE SPIDERS!!!!! I turn into a little whenever i see one. Spider spray from a distance and then vacume up the dead body.

I found a small BR in my bathroom the other day. It took a long time to die when i sprayed it with the black flag stuff. Most spiders i find die right away, kinda freaked me out to see how long it lived.
