True.

I always take the new fairings off my bikes and buy crashed sets on Ebay.

Not only does it not matter if I scratch them or not, thieves walk right past my bike to steal a shinier one.

Plus I get to sell the bike with perfect fairings and get more or sell them separately.

I could not give a what my bike looks like.

But ugly IS ugly and the 1000rr is one ugly .

bout time dah truf speaks.

All kidding aside, the newer CBR actually calls to me, more than the older one. And I actually like the big split in the bodywork. Interestingly enough, my favorite bikes are from 96-2005. go figure.

There's no shape left to the plastic any more. It all looks like a bunch of straps going every direction, so now the manufactures are after the naked look - without actually going all the way...... hmmm, kinda reminds me of my last gf - but that's another story. I really don't like to see engine hanging out all over. That's why they make street fighters.

BTW - has anybody ever actually seen two bikes fighting on the street? Or is "street fighter" some reference to a Mad Max version of a regular streetbike? I'm just wondering where the name came from.

Call me weird but I think the Honda CBR 1000rr is the best looking Japanese bike out there right now - track or street.

And I am a fan of the new Acura look, 'shield'-grill and all

Lookwise I prefer the the previous gen R1 than the current...although I think the current gen R1 looks badass with racing plastics.

Ducati & Kawi is looking pretty good these days imo.

No I am being serious. The entire current Acura line is visually appealing and distinctive. I love the 'shield' advant-guard grills, the neo-modern design of the exterior and the ergonomic, basic interior. The only thing I may not be a huge fan of is the line on the front fender wells of the TSX and TL...they shouldn't have such a sharp line imo because it makes the car look weird when dropped and fitted with larger wheels. The current models all look wayyy better than any previous gen.

I'm not a honda/acura fan but the last gen TL and TSXs were great cars but the new 'sheild' nose they have doesnt do it for me But even BMWs are starting to look funny.
