I fit and clamp the upper and lower together off the bike and install the DSUZ also while off the bike. Then drill and bolt on the lower and then fit the upper.

If it's SharkSkinz you could probably get away will drilling dimples off the bike and just fitting the upper and lower together and installing them.

Go over to www.sportbiketrackgear.com

They have videos on how to install skins.

http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=4764 Scroll down. It's an R6 but you get the idea.

Awesome links. I guess the only thing I'm still wondering about is the windscreen mounts differ from mine than on that R6. Here's a sweet looking bike like mine I saw at TWS (Texas World Speedway). He was an instructor. The bolts mount on the windscreen and bolt to something under it...I'm assuming the body work. I guess I'll figure it out tonight when I take that top part off.

Thanks for the help guys!

After the track day, I'm going to have some fun with a load of painters tape (I suck at photoshop) trying out a couple different designs with tape

I believe that the windscreen attaches straight to the body. I would probably just use some large washers to spread out the load.

If you were closer I'd come help you do it. It's really not that hard.

Trust me!

You probably want them to look cool and pretty, but if you go down you'll probably do way less damage b/c the zipties break\give, fasteners don't.
You know, I've wondered why dont make some type of rubber or plastic pins to go into the metal fasteners. Maybe it will get TOO loose from riding. I just hate using zip ties because it looks so ghetto...but I will anyway because I guess cracked body work looks more ghetto...haha.

I might try out those nylon bolts you can get at Home Depot / Lowes eventually. I'll use the Dzus fasteners for fastening the lower to the upper. I kinda regret now not getting the lower too...but I'm already $1300 over budget for motorcycle stuff....haha.

It's something I try to stick to every year but then these vendors start giving out discounts on I can't pass up. Ridesmart for instance...just offered 2 track days for the price of one at Cresson...took every bit of self-control I had to not add another $150 to my already blown budget...haha

I need a new set of leathers as the ones I have were bought used and a little on the small side with my back protector and stuff in. So I'm trying to save up for that next.
