Garmin + Google maps + JM headset

So I am eliminating the wires to my MP3 player..

Found a Garmin Nuvi with bluetooth, MP3 player, SD slot, etc

Got a J&M headset for the helmet

This setup is pretty loud in the helmet.. still need to test at speed but sounds good so far

I converted a google maps route to gpx, and sent to the Garmin.. it sees all the waypoints but not the route...

So I played around with Custom Routes, and was able to plug it in and save it no problem

You can also link your phone to the Garmin, and make and answer calls from the helmet if so inclined.

Now I need to see if I can link to another Bluetooth headset and try communicating that way...

Just an FYI.. and if anyone knows how to get the Garmin to read the entire route from Google, please post up...

well ... wrong section... MODS please move to general!!!

Initial review: I like!

No more wires!

Plenty of volume to overcome the wind with ear plugs in. No distortion.. I need to study as it seems the mic may be picking up some wind noise at higher speeds...

At 120+ I needed to turn it up a tad...

Now to try linking to someone elses unit...

Can't see much inside the helmet.. speakers are behind the liner
Just the control box on the outside, which has large buttons for operating with gloves
Garmin is in a waterproof pouch, mounted to my steering damper

Here is the helmet setup:

If your phone has an MP3 player, all you need is the headset.

I need to link my phone and play with it.

They make a mount that replaces one of the fairing mount nuts.
