Not to highjack Chris' thread anymore than it already has been...

Anyone want to commit to a two day ride on Aug 6/7?

Route can be however long we can all agree on, 400-500 miles a day is fine with me.

I had kinda planned on staying in Bandera; not much to choose from there in the way of hotels but the last couple years the Bandera Inn on Hwy 16 has been fine. Not great, but clean enough. Also has a restaurant next to it (was being remodeled in April), a Mexican place next door and a Dairy Queen across the road. All within walking distance.

I always make a point of breakfast at the OST either way.

Or, if lesser miles are desired we'll find a spot on the westside of Austin.

Lets get some input in this thread so we can start making plans. My rides are RIDES, not much energy left for tripping around town doing the nightlife..

Works for me. My mileage probably isn't much better than yours when we're riding at a spirited pace.

1995 Honda CBR 900RR (my first love, I'd buy it all over again)

I'm in and down with any mileage. I fuel up every 170 so 1 hr between breaks is fine, I don't know of any roads out that way, I just wanna ride. Is someone bringing flat repair kits (for just in case)?

Cramp busters people (for the long stretch)...I have a throttle lock

I keep an air pump and repair kit on the bike all the time.. no worries.

Oh.. and "long stretches" what are those?? We pretty much look for those roads to AVOID!
