Bike(s):
Shopping around for a starter 500

Intro :)

Hey everyone, pretty new here. Female rider, grew up on the dirt tracks. Always been interested in street and now i'm getting around to it. Just doing as much research as possible on everything, i know the importance of riding safe and smart. Where are the best places to take MSF classes? How about opinions for a good starter bike? I'm not gonna be all crazy and get a huge heavy bike that i cant control, im all about working my way up to the big and powerful stuff, plus im pretty short (5'2). Just wanting the best info and resources to have the most fun an amazing time making this switch and getting accustomed to it all, without the addition of unnecessary "beginner" mistakes

Welcome to MH. Check out Awesome Cycles for the MSF class. A good starter bike would be a ninja 250. Buy one used so if it does get damaged it won't be a big deal.

Suzuki makes some good sport/standard hybrids that are reasonably priced. Maybe something like the Gladius?

Hey there. Awesome cycles. Has the great program. I would say the 250 if you never rode but since you have a riding background I would maybe start with a gs 500. Or something similar. Welcome to MH hope to See you around on the m&g.

Welcome!

Check out Awesome Cycles on the north side. As far as I recall, they have a Ninja 250 in their stable in addition to their 250cc cruisers for you to ride throughout the course.

Good luck!

Welcome...no need to study ahead of time for the MSF, pretty simple if you have any common sense.

You can also hit up the female forum and ask the ladies for opinions on starter bikes.
