Saying honda has nothing as in no sales is stupid come up with something else becauce that make no sense. They had the hightest sales and hightest % of the market period.

i think what he is trying to say is that all tho honda had the highest sale ad highest % of the market. motorcycle sales in general are down so even tho they might have the highest % like you said the highest of nothing is nothing get it ???

Thanks for the advice guys. Im no stranger to litre bikes or chosing the prettiest most comfortable etc.

Just got my R1 sold and have not ridden the CBR or BMW.

As Im moving now and know that US dealers are tight as regarding demos I thought perhaps some of you guys would have a better idea.

I was thinking is the BMW top end that much better, thanks Sunday Rider!!!
Is it comfortable?
Does it headshake like F**K when u cross a hit a white line over 50 or is it stable?
Does it feel top heavy, does it turn in quick?

Something a bit more in depth you know.I know there are loads of reviews online etc but i trust somone who owns a bike way more than any reviewer.

Any advice like this is very helpfull maybe othe users would be interested in this kinda thing too.

hope my answer doesnt turn into another street vs track discussion

1. Yes above 9k rpm it has a 15hp advantage over any other liter bike in stock form!

2. The ergonomics are a lot better than my 1098 so i can ride it all day without having to pull over and rest my back at the station. It is not as comfy as a busa or zx14 but good enough for commuting from home to work.

3. I have never had any headshakes with any of my bikes because the first thing i do i replace the stock steering damper to avoid any potential headshakes.

4. It turns in quick but not as quick as the CBR 1000RR mainly because the Honda has a shorter wheel base.

5. The bmw is a very good street bike but if you are thinking about using it at the track, then i would recommend replacing the stock suspension with ohlins for much better front end feel and handling. Coming from a 1098, the front end of the bmw is not as telepathic as the ducati but once you get used to it you can start to trust it a bit more

hope my answers help!

OMG, their sales are down compared to previous years. No , Honda sells more bikes than anyone else, but they have sold fewer bikes over the last several years than they did in the past. How much more simple can I make that? They're even discontinuing certain models. Has the new CBR1000R, that's right, one "R" even made it to Houston yet? You do realize the economy is bad now and has been bad for awhile, right?

I do know for a fact that there are a lot of left over inventory of fireblades in the european markets and also here in the US that they are heavily discounting to make room for newer models. I have seen brand new 09 cbr1000rrs marked to down to $6800 from a Honda dealership in Oklahoma and Cali!

I'm pretty sure on Hondas you have to be there to sign the paperwork. Meaning you would have to fly to the dealership to sign and then they ship. This is for brand new ones.
