Hi just got my first bike

hi just got my first bike from a friend of literally let it go to waste the bike set up for 3yrs so its sort of a project. its a 1998 GSXR-600 fuel pumps shot but overall bikes in good shape if anyone knows where to find a good used pump let me know

try also CL, and call you local shops maybe a new one might not be too expensive if you cant find used.

I thought those bike were carb'ed. Seems like they were not FI till 00 or 01'

never new a carbed bike had a fuel pump...check your carbs and fuel line.

DING DING DING!!!! we have a winner! rebuild carbes new idle and main jet. good chances the accelerator pump is gummed up too. shouldn't cost you very much moola

Yes, this bike has a fuel pump. There were A LOT of non-FI bikes that had fuel pumps. Gravity fed will only get you so much. I think I have one for the 98 GSXR600. If you bring it by my place, we can see if it matches up. I have a few from 600/750/TL/Hayabusa that are pre-2000. They all look very similar, but the bolt patterns are different and the pumps are a little different. Or PM me your number and I'll give you a call.
