Get PM notifications on your cell phone...

Selling some items and can't get online often to see if someone's interested?

Finally found that perfect motorcycle and you're anxiously waiting for the seller to PM you?

Ride got cancelled and you didn't log on before you rode up there?

Godsuki found your tub of lube and hemorroid cream at MSRH and hasn't been able to contact you?

You can get notifications of received PMs on your phone if you'd like to.
Just go to the UserCP--> Edit Email and Password--> enter your password--> *enter your cellphone email (twice for verification) --> Save Changes

Then go to Edit Options and under Private Messaging check the box labeled 'Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages', scroll all the way down, click on Save Changes and you're done. (While you're here you may as well check out all the other cool options you can choose that you didn't even know existed or forgot about. )

*Your cellphone email will vary between carriers.
I have T-Mobile and mine is: phonenumber@tmomail.net (no dashes or spaces)

Here is a list of the other carriers: http://www.sensiblesoftware.com/webl...ail-addresses/

and here: http://networking.ringofsaturn.com/T...one-emails.php

Neat little feature and you'll never be out of the loop!

only problem is then every forum email you get will text ya if you really cant check your email from your phone in this era I would assume most people used gmail, yahoo or msn/hotmail/live for their email... all of which are capable of mail forwarding according to rules...

a simple rule that checked if the message came from motohouston and had private message or whatever in the subject line got forwarded to the email address of your phone (as you listed above) would probably be a better way to handle it

gmail allows filtering/forwarding for such. Can be all done server side as well, but like mini said, its the era of smartphones so probably not much of a demand......

I did it this way back in the flip phone days though.
