CMRA TWS (Texas World Speedway) finale 10/7&8

CMRA season finale is next weekend at TWS (Texas World Speedway). Lots of good points battles in the expert class for season championships should make for some great racing. Our own Larry Meyers is in the hunt in several classes. I'm sure they will be needing corner workers if you have a free weekend and want to watch some killer racing. COrner workers get free gate fees, lunches, the best seat in the house, and they PAY you. If you are interested ...... cornerworking @ cmra.com will get you in touch with Barry Nichols, chief corner worker. Even if you just go to spectate, be sure to stop by the north end of the yellow bar to say hello. It's a win it or bin it weekend, we have the whole off season to rebuild them, so everyone will be on the gas...........

A hint at who might show up for the endurance race on Saturday?

http://superbikeplanet.com/2006/Oct/061001k3.htm

Quote:
Q Ben, what are you going to do to celebrate?

SPIES: I'm going to spend a whole lot of money. [Laughter] No, for now, not much. [Sheepishly] I actually might be doing an amateur race next weekend with a buddy of mine on an endurance bike. Just going to go spend some time at home. I haven't been home too much. Just go have fun. And to comment a couple of things about Mat, this title's especially really nice, because we didn't - last year the points were close, but we had a whole lot of help from him. To win it outright, with nobody really having any issues, is a huge deal. Like he said, I know they're coming back. I know that's going to happen. I know he's got a fire lit under him now, and he's going to do his training and come back hard, and we've got to do the same thing. Now the hard work is ahead of us, to keep going at this pace and keep winning. I think it's possible. We're just going to go home, do our homework, and see if we can come back stronger next year.

I'll prolly practice on Friday w/LSTD, then sprint on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday(deep echoing voice). I have heard Spies may run endurance on Saturday, I hope he stays to sprint on Sunday, that would make the expert races even more interesting.

Hopefully I can make it out to see the Sprints on Sunday but, it is a stretch unfortunately. I have a date with a boat and the ocean.
