07 gsxr 750 sputtering

accelerating in 1st gear i can get up to about 4k rpms then the whole bike sputters and shakes, wont go any higher. shift to 2nd, does the same thing. 3-6th theres not a problem. it only happens when the bikes cold. If i let it idle and rev it a few times before i take off it runs like a champ. I ride it every day. just put a slip-on on the bike, set valve motor and cables have been removed from the FI code popping up a while back. Someone mentioned that with the set valve off and aftermarket exhaust its not getting enough back pressure to run right. any advice would be appreciated, wondering if i need to tune it or something so im not killing the engine.

lack of backpressure from a slip on will not cause it to do what you are describing. removing the set valve without pulling the control wire will.

invest in a tuning device, remove the set valve properly, and let the bike warm up at least a little before riding.

google the proper removal process, or PM me if you cant find it.

PC on it? If so I would disconnect it and see if problem goes away.
