Over the past few years I have come to form my own definition of the phrases "you're just hatin"/"haters going to hate"/"stop hating"


The definition looks something like: I have absolutely no defense for my position in this discussion, but am unwilling to listen to any opinion (no matter how much fact supports it) and am therefore dismissing it. My fragile ego cannot withstand being wrong, and I therefore willfully choose a path of ignorance to protect it.
