There was an old lady probably going 10mph below the speedlimit. She was causing our group to experience difficulty to maintain a safe speed as a staggered group.

I have seen some vid. I can say for sure it proves the cop came up on us from probably a mile behind. Does anyone really believe he knew what we were doing? If he is FOS about us, what does that say about his credibility. The vid puts him to shame.

It's difficult for me to make blanket statements at this point. I think it is a safe bet to say that the cop did not witness everybody commit a violation. He may have witnessed some. And the reason I say this is because the object you guys were maneuvering around (the old woman in the car) was a moving object. So the front of the group may have passed the car before the double line, but the rear might not have.

I know full well that some cops will just pull over a group of bikers for no good reason. But I don't want to make that assumption as the sole defense and get blown at court by damning evidence (i.e. in the form of a police dash cam). Making assumptions like that only hurts you guys. This is important because it may mean different defenses for different people. I've seen mention in this thread that winning one case will dismiss the rest. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that won't be happening unless the pretense for the stop was completely made up.

So this is the most fair way I can think to handle this. I'm thinking right now a very nominal fee for anybody out of this group who wants representation. We'll need a certain minimum number of people to cover my time and expenses of going down to Alvin and doing the prepwork. I'm thinking that if the video evidence bluewave mentions is accurate, some of the cases will be dismissed. If some or all of the cases prove indefensible, there is "safety in numbers" that might be usable to get better deals (the Alvin prosecutor isn't going to want 10 jury trials).

For those that were cited for no insurance or license, these violations will go away if the moving violation for your individual case turns out to be bogus (no reasonable suspicion for the traffic stop).

If your particular case needs to go to trial, there will be a very reduced trial fee.

How does that sound? I'm open to suggestions of course.

lat time i had ticket, i used "citizen" if i remember correctly, they charge 30 bucks per violations.......

what they will do is to change your court date and hope the officer does not show up, if the office did, their lawyer will still try to dismiss your ticket if that fails, he or she will try to lower the fines....

(you can do all that by yourselves) if you want to save some money

It's not my video. You can't read license plates. You can't be sure the video was shot on the same day at the same time. Attorney client priviledge.

Need I go on?
