Not me and not mudbug. Although if I recall correctly, there were issues with cows not being held within gates, exotic animal violations, and some animal abuse stuff. Before MSRH trackdays, I used to absolutely avoid Alvin with a passion - more so than any other town in Houston - because of my past dealings with cops and there harassment of ricers. From TX City, I'd actually go all the way up to Beltway 8, then 288 south just to avoid Alvin completely. Years ago, I got pulled over because I had no front plate on my Accord at the time...the cop actually made a u-turn to pull me over just for that Who the pulls someone over for no front plate?! Alvin is just anti-ricer.

lol, I have no idea what you are talking about. I have lived here since 91 and I rarely even see alvin cops pull cars over. I kinda wish they would get on the ball and write more violations, It would save me much road rage

EXACTLY

Nor a BMW
Nor a MB
Nor any other car model BUT a Honda

Just like all those helmet-less crusiers passing us as we get ticketed for 2 hours.

I guess there just weren't that many 'imports' in Alvin back-in-the-day. And the few that were there probably did dumb so anyone passing through has to be punished as well.

My speedo is not calibrated to the current gearing.
If you confirmed that yall passed in a passable zone. didn't one rider in the front of the group have his HD Hero filming. That should provide evidence to the contrary of what the police are saying.

Ya'll need to look at that video! If it shows passes made in a legal passing zone. Have him post that clip on youtube so everyone who was behind him can take it to court and say I was behind this guy, but when I made my pass I was within the speed limit. Otherwise they might replace the unsafe passing ticket with a speeding ticket. Wouldn't that the cop off. All that work thrown out. And that should raise reasonable doubt and that's all you need.

Even though I was one of the lucky few that didn't get a ticket. It still bytes that my 1st ever group ride got broke up by the popo. I was having more fun than I thought I would.

As for the rest of the day. It was a great day. Even though I don't remember everyone by name. Glade to meet all of you. I've got to get me one of those MH shirts with my name on the back. Hope to get together and ride some more with ya'll.

I hate that I was sitting up on the balcony eating bar b que when the parade laps were going on. The bar b que was good, but it wasn't that good. I thought it was full gear only. Didn't realize that I could have rode in jeans or I would have definitely been on the track.

Thanks to Ever for turning off my ignition and bringin the key to me. I hate it when I do that. When I went to crank it at the end of the day. The engine would turn over but it just didn't have enough to crank.

I don't remember who it was that gave me a push start, but thanks a bunch to you. I didn't think it would start like that with a slipper clutch.

I didn't realize the bike you were on is a RC51. I'll have to take a closer look at it next time we meet.

OT, as for where I work. It's really cool for MC riders. The main supervisor with the big , who is over all of my company, is a motorcycle collector. So he had special MC parking built inside the confines of the plant fence complete with concrete slab, roof, and walls. I can walk right out the door of my shop and my bike is only 20' away, in the shade, behind a locked gate. The cagers have to walk nearly a 1/4 mile to the unsecured parking lot.

That's just the arraignment, not an actual trial date. You just have to make a plea by that date to the court or show up and make your plea there.

Alvin cops usually aren't that bad. I've lived here all my life and never really got any from them. Well, the only Asian cop we have did mess with me cause he was stupid. He pulled me over back in the '90s and said I needed someone 18 or older with valid license with me to drive. I was like 23 at the time And the dumbshit was reading my bike learner restrictions. Other than than, no issues.
