I'm wondering the same. Do replacement chains come with extra and are cut to fit or do I order for my application? I'm due for a chain and inquiring minds need to know...

you can hit up gearingcommander.com. plug in your sprocket sizes and somewhere on there itll tell you if need more links. most places that keep chain in stock have 120 link and 130 link lengths. you cut to fit. PROTIP: measure twice....cut once as you cant take more links off...but cant add more. if you are 100% sure how many links you need, some type can be ordered in 2 link increments...(110,112,114 etc).

you can buy chain cutting tools but the best way to cut chain imo is with a cutting disc on a dremel or an air line. WEAR EYE PROTECTION.
