06 GSXR 600 (sold)
07 Ninja 250 (sold)
93 CBR 900 (sold)
06 RC51 (sold)

When should I buy another bike

been hurting since november when i sold rc51, but anyway im planning to buy with cash this summer, more then likely gonna stick with my honda and get a cbr 600.

question is do you all think i should grab one this summer or wait till the end of the year and catch a deal because i dont want to spend more then $3500

but if you've been without a bike you know how tempting it is

You aint gettin a 2012 for $3500.
Just shop around and buy when you find the deal you want. It's not like buying a boat, where the price varies seasonally. It might change a little but not enough to make waiting for some magic time worth it.
If I was you I'd be more worried about switching from a grunt bike like the RC51 and getting a bike that you gotta wind up like a rubber band to get any power.

nothing wrong with that. ive always liked that saying "its more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than to ride a fast bike slow".

i say get the bike now. you only live once dude. when you are old and on your deathbed and you look back on life, itll be too late to get these next few months of riding in. waiting is not worth the few hundred bucks you might save.

to me, waiting for winter and cheap prices only makes if you allready have one bike and just want to upgrade.

The Z1000 is cool, I am a firm believer in not going without a bike, when I was without years ago my life seemed to have a void in it and I was miserable, thats why now I have a backup bike or 10, U know just incase one has a flat or is out of gas or needs a oil change, u know like an emergency like those, go get something, doesent really matter what, I have just as much fun on a crf 70 as I do a 1098

thats a laundry list of mods just glancing at it, somebody spent some time on that thing.

wait to pay cash unless you're wanting a brand new bike. even then cash would still be better than financing.. if you're a heavy sport rider the z1000 probably isnt your best choice. its a blast to ride but its not as flickable as the super sports.

Don't know... a wide flat bar makes it pretty darn flickable....

agree...new has its benefits

other then paying out the for it...you dont have to worry about hidden problems the seller might be hiding. new bikes have extras that the old ones dont. like the new gsxr 2011, i think i read that they come with brembo brakes. also warranty is a good thing

most people pick bikes for the way they look too
