I don't imagine we'll actually have a world war like the 2 we saw in the 20th century. However I do believe we will see bolder attacks on our soil in the next 20 years, as well as increased small conflicts like we are currently involved in.
AJ, you've made multiple references to the Vietnam war. Are you a veteran of that war? What years were you there?

I agree with you Patrick, I don't think we'll see anything like WW2, but more of the Iraq kind of wars.
I'll venture a guess.............he wasn't even a twinkle yet during Vietnam.

Then AJ really doesn't know a thing of what he speaks.
My father pulled 2 tours, 1 in '68 and another in '70. Your offhand comments, made by someone with no real knowledge of that war, me off.
If I'm incorrect in my assumption of that statement, than I apologize.
However, if I am correct than please shut the **** up about something you no nothing of, it infuriates some of us that had to live through it

War has been a part of our lives as well as our ancestors...Everybody needs to be ready for whatever it might bring...as far as a war on our soil it is highly unlikely given nobody really has the logistics to invade our wonderful country!!! It would be very difficult to keep an army supplied with food/water/munitions etc...

You're correct, but I do believe we'll see more "guerilla" type attacks; hit and run style tactics that are designed to divide / demoralize, and are more difficult to defend against than conventional warfare.

I disagree Mike. Sacrificing our freedoms will not make us safer, not truly.
IMO it's being used as a means to control us by using fear.
