My friend has a gsxr 600 with just one rotor. My bicycle stops quicker than his bike and it felt really unsafe.

EX250's only have 1 rotor and caliper up front. then again, bike doesn't weigh much even with me on it.

I bet that brake needed to be bled, new pads, or the rotor was shot. I regularly slow my drag bike down from 140+ mph with just one front brake and it stops fine

Many cruisers have them only on one side and they weigh a lot more than 300lbs.

Granted, they only make about 50hp...

And don't routinely brake from triple digit speeds. Maybe that's my problem: I don't ride street so 45-0 braking performance is not something I consider "adequate."

Most of those type still miss kick-starters and carbs. They aren't what you would call "riders"...more like "motorcycle owners".

Well most of those bikes will only barely hit triple digits, but that isnt what they're made for. For street riding, its just fine.

Personally, I wouldn't ride a bike with only one front brake, but it isn't inherently unsafe.

I've never entered the parking lot, a lot of those racers you're talking about with one rotor have bikes that weight under 300 lbs, and make less than 100 hp................as I've already stated in this thread.

breaks just slow you down. and sense we all know the gsxr is the fastest most bad bike in the world, it doesn't need breaks.

Looks at your sig and

To each his own, not my style but definitely looks good. I think it would have been nicer if he had the brake mount machined off the fork so it would look like something went there.
