Did a little tuning tonight.....(pics)

Just tweaking a few things and trying to iron out a pesky FI light that keeps popping up under boost.....did a little tuning in Mexico... This was on the limiter with my 19/47 street/strip gearing......not too bad...with this gearing it topped out in about 1/2 mile..... It should roll with the land speed gearing (20/38)....

That is all....carry on...

YES IT WAS..... Luckily I was able to find a Mexican rode that ran down wind.....Still a bit of a cross wind but not too bad......

I normally hate cross winds.....or any wind for that matter....especially on that 60 series front tire...

Yeah I have been over 200 more times then I can count...... This was with my STREET/ DRAG STRIP gearing.....(ie. low gearing for acceleration, not top speed)...

Besides that..... The GPS is on a slight delay....it can not actually keep up if a bike is accelerating so.....I was actually probably close to 200mph today but it hit the limiter so fast and nosed over that the GPS probably didnt track it in time.

On my 225.906 mph TIMED RUN at the Texas Mile, my GPS only read 224 mph....and that was accelerating very slow and topped out right before the limiter.....

Today, the GPS could have easily been 3 mph slow as hard as the bike slammed into the limiter.....It accelerates extremely hard, even at 200 mph....especially with the drag gearing on it....

Time to change the gearing and hit 240. How much boost are you comfy with at 100% and near the limiter?

Yes, this was in "Mexico".....the same Mexico I took you to once.....

Today I started in 2nd at about 60mph and just babied it through 2nd and got WOT at the top of 3rd..... then kept it pinned thru 4/5/6....tried to shift to 7th twice, then figured out it was still in 6th...lol... From the time I actually got WOT in 3rd, it took only 5.18 secs to go through 4/5/6 top out at 197 ish...

It don't take long..., less then 1/2 mile....probably more like 3/8 - 7/16s of a mile....

Today I was only running 14.5lbs of boost...(1 bar spring).....I did this on 93 oct Shell gas.....

At the Mile with the land speed gearing on it, I will probably run about 20lbs of boost to start out......Thats about 375hp.........I feel relatively comfortable there.... I can run it up to 24lbs of boost, that is as high as it is mapped for.....It makse about 400-410hp there..... I wouldn't want to run it up any higher then that for sure.......

It took 29lbs to make 435hp at only 9500 rpms....turbo was out of steam and pumping a LOT of heat into it....I doubt it would live for a full mile like that......I don't have the 29lb map in it anymore anyway....

Actually....I posted that wrong....I just looked at the log again... I didn't get fully WOT until 4th and it took 9.09 secs to hit the limiter the in 6th. That was after trying to shift to 7th twice thinking I was still in 5th and seeing the shiftlight just stay on.......I was actually in 6th and eventually figured it out, then I just stayed in it til it crashed into the limiter.....that was the 197 mph on the GPS...

Not sure where I got that 5.18 from....That may have been how long I was in 6th for..
