Call and ask.
Both will usually price match any ad you bring in, or if a local store is advertising it on their website, Gander Mountain will call to verify price and if it's in stock and then will match the price.

Why?
Here lately the pricing I've seen at the shows hasn't been any different than what I can get at Gander, Carters or Jim Pruitts.

Plus if there's a problem I can have it easily handled.
Case in point; I purchased a Kimber ultra carry awhile back and had extraction problems with it right out of the box. Carters exchanged it for another pistol, no questions asked.
Hard to do that at a gun show.

+2 for gun show. They have way better price compare to stores. (minus the mark up) There always 1 or 2 per year.

Bypass them all, find a copy of Shotgun News or an advertiser online and pay an FFL holder $15 or 15% to get it transferred. Stores CAN do this but they would rather sell you something off of their shelf... Gun show prices are typically decent if not +$50 more, if shopping around you can beat the price. Gander has "some" decent deals as well, the same for Carters. if purchasing out of state you can get out of tax but depending on S&H and FFL fee's it might be less hassle to buy local. Sometimes you can come out ahead and other times local is good.

I don't know what the M&P AR-15 is running for but I would prefer a RRA with a chrome lined barrel over most any other brand, or since you are shelling out the cash the DPMS LR-308 or AP-4 .308s are in the same ballpark. Does that Shotty have autotrigger, it's a fun feature. (I hate mossbergs, LOVE Winnie 1200's. (1300's went to plastic trigger guards) Norinco has a knockoff of the Winchester 97 trenchgun, external hammer and autotrigger... should be just as bulletproof as their AK's. The Winnie 1200/1300/FN's have a spring loaded rotary bolt which in conjuction with a smooth action it's friggin SMOOTH to cycle. Browning BPS is SMOOOTTHHER but aftermarket stuff is limited and they don't really have a home defense model. HK/Benelli Nova's are favorable especially since price is very reasonable, I haven't fondled one but would like to...

they have justabout anything you need. they dont advertise guns on their site, but order their free catalog, and depending on where you live, just get an FFL to have it shipped to. there is one here in webster will do it for like 25 bucks.

I like the gun shows to look around at the cool stuff but Ive always bought my guns local or from somebody I trust. Like Patrick said...if you have a problem with it. it might turn in to a pain in the to get it fixed..unless its a really good deal then go for it.

I prefer to shop at neither, prices are just too high. Especially on the ammo, only time i buy factory ammo is for my SD rounds, all pratice stuff is reloaded by me. I usually go the shotgun news / internet + FFL route. I usually end up cheaper that way.

My next purchase.
http://www.savagearms.com/10fpmcmillan.htm

Will be at my FFL guy's door for less than $880.00 shipped and thats with a mcmillan stock. Gander, Carters, nor Jim Pruitts couldn't touch that price.

The above link has some accessories for the Shotty, amongst other things. From a few friends that had Mossbergs before, it takes 100-500 shells to smooth out the action to an acceptable level.

As for the HS-AR-15, dunno about that one as I didn't know they were making them. (To kind of think about it it's been awhile since I have seen an advertisement by High Standard.)
