I know im late but do you need a training course to get you class M restriction and when did they start this? I got my restriction years ago and all i did was take the written test twice back to back cuz i failed the first time and short driving test with trooper following me

A few years ago. If you still have your "M" endorsement on your license, you're good. If not, you'll have to take the class to get it back on.

Endorsement, not restriction.

Restrictions are things like requiring glasses or hand controls.

Not if he has a restriction regarding "licensed rider within feet" (Also known as a Learner's Permit).

He'll need to take the BRC to get it removed.
