This one should be fairly easy to ID. It sits on a hill, seen from afar. About midway between a bunch of trees and a 4-digit road.
Not much of a clue.... lot of 4 digit roads around here!

There was like 3 clues in that sentence. Think about a bunch of trees and what that could be. On a hill seen from afar - after the "trees" and before the road you can literally see this one from a couple of miles away. And since there are roads EVERYWHERE, it must be either a really fast or a really twisty road to even mention it at all.

Another small clue... It's up around the area where some "Yankees" like to go.

Game to go find this for a picture however as Lurch said, need a better clue.

Got a pretty good idea of the general area, but that's a lot of ground to cover..

Must admit, when I am riding backroads, I am very rarely looking at the scenery "far away"

Wait I thought file photos were not allowed. Get out there and make a new one! Surely you can find something that is close enough for you to ride to within an hour or two, is interesting, and will require some clues to find.

Maybe if people think they know where it is, PM the poster and ask "Is it so and so?" then head out to take the picture if you're correct? That way you aren't running around one weekend on a wild chase.

BTW, I showed this to 2 other riders and they guessed where it was at. "a bunch of trees" (like a forest maybe), then a really either fast or twisty 4-digit road....and maybe a place related to the word "yankee"... And this is around all those places within a few miles.

And it's of course a big courthouse like a county seat, but if you couldn't tell that already, you need to pass through some more small towns when you're out riding.

Don't forget to put a pic of your bike up at a new location for the next tag!

And for those wondering, my clues meant that after you ride the Forrest (bunch of trees) and head toward a 4-digit road (FM 3090), it's in between those. You can see that courthouse on the hill from several miles away from both 149 and 1774. And of course the Yankee reference was to try to make you think of the Yankee Tavern which is up in that same general part of the country. They're all in Grimes County, of which Anderson is the county seat.

And Dang that next one looks familiar. Oh well, I'm going to be out of town the next 2 weekends so I'll have to let this one go until later.

I know what that is ... might grab it this weekend if its not cleared by then although just a reminder... pictures can be anywhere in the Houston area, including in town.
