Houston Photo Tag-O-Rama

I've seen the Photo Tag-O-Rama other motorcycle boards and its a alot of fun and a great reason to get out riding, so I thought I'd see if we could start one for the Houston area and its riders.

Rules are easy...

#1 - Find the tag and reproduce the photo (as best as possible). The first person to post a found tag gets to place the next tag. If you get a tag, but somebody else posts their picture first, you lose.

#2 - Take the tag to a new location, get the photo and post it here. Give a few hints so the next person can figure out where the tag is located. Try to place the tags in interesting locations, maybe a bit of history that can be found down some nice twisties.

#3 - Tag must be a) findable and b) not placed on a dirt road.

#4 - File photos are NOT permitted. You gotta ride to play this game.

#5 - The motorcycle in the picture must get to the tag location under its own power.

#6 - Area for tagging must be limited to Houston and the surrounding areas that most of us ride (Houston west to Fayetteville, north to Navasota and Carlos, the forest etc).

[I'm open to editing the area for tagging photo's if people have suggestions but lets see how it goes first. Remember the fun of the game is to figure out the location, ride out and tag the photo and post a new tag for someone else to find]

Here's the first tag for someone to find.
Hints: NW - (North of Fayetteville) & there was a 3 bike crash on a MH ride 2 years ago on this road.

True dat. Although watching 2 bikes follow the first guy off the road in a turn was a prime example of object fixation. Hope there's no crashes getting to the tag this time @

I was there on Sunday too. AND I took a picture in the same spot. AND my motorcycle is also a VFR. Yeah, that's creepy...
Does this mean I'm supposed to post up a new picture somewhere else?

OK, so what is the "tag" we are looking for? Just the pic of the same spot, or is it like GPS tag where there is a physical tag there you pick up and move?

Yup.. now I get it.. you go somewhere and snap a pic with your bike, and offer up a few clues, and that becomes the next "TAG"..

Need to add one more rule of "outside the Houston City Limits"

ok ok.... I are slo and old... git over it!!!!!!

Well, I may not be able to get out of town on the motorcycle for a few weeks for a "new" location/tag, so let me just post up a picture that I took in September.

This one should be fairly easy to ID. It sits on a hill, seen from afar. About midway between a bunch of trees and a 4-digit road.

So do we identify the location once we find the tag? That way the same one doesn't get used over and over...
