title transfer

Hi,

I just bought a bike today on craigslist. The title was from a previous owner that the seller bought the bike from. How do I do a title transfer into my name? I have the title in hand and its signed, but like I said its from previous owner that the seller bought the bike from.

Most people who flip stuff do this. Theyll buy something and sell it later without registering it. Do you have a bill of sale? Most cases you could just sign the title and do the title transfer at the tax office. Just hope the bike's not stolen. You can call the DMV and they'll check to see if it is.

Ya a smart person would just sign the title, copy the sellers signature to a title transfer application and pay the applicable fees.

To do it legally is much more costly and time consuming.

The seller did not sign the title correct. The only signatures on the title should be of the original owner who's name is on the title and yours.

You also need the 130u form filled out with the original owners and your signature in the correct boxes
